What is included in the registration fee?
The registration fee includes coffee breaks and lunches, a welcome package, and other administrative costs.
It also include 22% VAT (“IVA” in Italian) as Research Institutes and Universities are subject to that tax according to Italian fiscal system.
Why the social dinner is not included in the fee?
To prevent participants to pay 22% VAT also on the social dinner, this has been scorporated from the fee. The social dinner can be paid during the conference at the registration desk.
When is the social dinner?
The social dinner will take place on Thursday, November 21
In the details for payment it is mentioned the Consorzio Interuniversitario per la Fisica Spaziale (CIFS). Who is the CIFS?
CIFS is part of the Local Organizing Committee and is taking care of several administrative tasks, including collecting registration fees. Due to their current work load, it will take a few days to receive an invoice from CIFS.
The invoice I received only refers to the registration fee. What if I need the cost of the social dinner to be included?
The invoice sent by CIFS cannot be modified. On demand, we can send another document that also mention the social dinner.
What kind of invoice will I receive?
The CIFS admin staff will send you a receipt like this one as a proof of payment. This is not a fiscal invoice. On demand, we can send another document that includes also the social dinner. If you need a fiscal invoice please contact us immediately after paying the fee (with cifs.meetings [at] gmail.com in cc) and CIFS will issue an invoice ("fattura elettronica") instead of the standard receipt.
And if I need a receipt from restaurant?
The restaurant will issue receipts
When will the selection for talks or posters be announced?
Participants will be notified during August whether their talk has/hasn't been accepted. The final program will be released at the beginning of September (see "Key Dates").
Is it mandatory that one should complete the payment for the conference to be considered as an applicant for a talk?
Once you submit your abstract, this is considered by the SOC irrespective of the completion of the payment. However, please note that if you pay the fee after July 15th and you are not a student, the Early-bird registration offer will not be valid any longer and a Regular Fee of 300 euro will apply. If you are a student it will remain 250 euro until Oct 1st.
